Research Use Only Notice

Every compound Nexa Labs sells is intended for laboratory research only (Research Use Only, RUO). This notice explains what that means, what these products are not, and what the buyer takes responsibility for.

1. What “research use only” means

A research compound is material for controlled experimentation: in vitro assays, preclinical models, analytical method development, instrument validation and teaching work in a laboratory setting.

It is not manufactured, packaged, labelled or offered for administration to people or animals. It does not go through the controls the law requires of a medicine, because it is not a medicine. That difference is substantive, not procedural.

2. What these products are not

• Not medicines. They hold no marketing authorisation as a pharmaceutical product.
• Not dietary supplements or nutritional products.
• Not food or food ingredients.
• Not cosmetics or personal care products.
• Not veterinary products.
• Not medical devices or clinical diagnostic reagents.

3. No regulatory approval

None of these compounds is authorised by COFEPRIS — Mexico’s federal health regulator — or by any other health authority, for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation or prevention of any disease or condition.

Nexa Labs does not recommend a use, a dose, a route of administration or a protocol of any kind. Where a product page mentions lines of research, it is describing what the published scientific literature has studied — not a suggested application and not an expected outcome.

4. What we do claim

The only claims we make about a lot are the ones its analysis supports: the identity of the compound, the purity measured by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and a lyophilised presentation with no added excipients. You can check those claims against the certificate of analysis for the lot number printed on the vial.

We make no claim about what the compound does, because a purity analysis does not establish that.

5. Buyer declarations

By placing an order, the buyer declares that they:

• Are of legal age under applicable law.
• Are buying the material solely for scientific research.
• Have the training, the facilities and the procedures needed to handle laboratory material.
• Will not use the material for human or animal consumption, and will not resell, redistribute or relabel it for that purpose.
• Are solely responsible for the experimental design, handling, storage and final disposal of the material.

6. Liability

Nexa Labs’s responsibility ends at delivering the compound described, in the quantity and presentation stated, with the analytical documentation for its lot. Everything that happens to the material after delivery — how it is prepared, used, stored, and whatever follows from that — rests entirely with whoever receives it.

Any use of these compounds outside the scope described here is beyond our knowledge, beyond our control and beyond our responsibility, and breaches the terms under which they were sold.

7. Laboratory handling

Handle this material only in appropriate facilities, by trained personnel, following the safety practices and standard operating procedures of the receiving institution. Storage conditions are on each product page and on the certificate for its lot.

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The date it was last revised appears at the top of the page. Orders are governed by the version in force when they are placed.
